MSc in Banking, Capital Markets, and Financial Technology
Additional information
Hello, I would like to know what the schedule of MSc in Banking, Capital Markets, and Financial Technology looks like. A master's degree is for professionals in North America and is not 8 hours long. They have designed them for higher age students and a good life and study balance. Some comments say the classes at IESEG are 8 hours a day and some say 4 hours a day. Can anyone give me a clearer response? 1- How many hours a day did you spend in class? 2- How long were your breaks and lunch time? 3- Was the attendance mandatory? 4- Did you need to do assignments at home, or did your evenings and weekends belong to you? 5- I am interested in a hands-on MSc and not a theory-based MSc. Are there too many writing assignments or the assignments are project based? 6- Were there students over the age of 30 in this program? If yes, how many? I will appreciate your response.

Hi,
The Masters program is quite intensive with 25 + courses. The course adopts continuous evaluation for performance assessment. Please see my responses below:
1.Each session generally runs for either 2 h 30 mins or 4 hrs and you could have either one or two such classes per day depending on your schedule.
2.In addition to the 1 hour lunch break, we also have small breaks during the class.
3. Considering the value addition of a Masters program to the career, it is recommended to attend the classes. Also it is important to note that a portion of the course grade could also be based on class participation. Additionally, there could also minimum attendance requirements as per the internal policy of IESEG.
4. Assignments generally take up your evenings, weekends and possibly some holidays. You could also have some mornings off which could be used for the assignments.
5. Assignments generally tend to be practical based namely individual or group projects. However, sometimes, it could also be written submissions.
6.The cohort is generally quite diverse with work experiences ranging from 0 - 6 years. Consequently, you would find a good mix of age groups in the class.
