A few days before should be fine. you will have to check the date on your visa as well

This is up to you. If you are coming from far away it might be better to come a couple of days before because you need to be over Jet lag and ready to take in all of the information and it is obligatory to attend all the different presentations during orientation week. There is a lot of information provided for all issues,opening a bank, social security, health, courses, visas etc; You must join us for this !
