MSc in Big Data Analytics Schedule
Additional information
Hello, I would like to know what the schedule of MSc in Big Data Analytics Schedule looks like. Some comments say the classes at IESEG are 8 hours a day and some say 4 hours a day. Can anyone give me a clearer response? 1- How many hours a day did you spend in class? 2- How long were your breaks and lunch time? 3- Was the attendance mandatory? 4- Did you need to do assignments at home, or did your evenings and weekends belong to you? 5- I am interested in a hands-on MSc and not a theory-based MSc. Are there too many writing assignments or the assignments are project based? 6- Were there students over the age of 30 in this program? If yes, how many? I will appreciate your response.

MSc in Big Data Analytics for Business 2020/2021
Hello,
We appreciate your interest in the MSc Big Data Analytics for Business.
I will try to answer all your questions the best I can.
In the program, we receive a timetable every week, and it varies according to the availability of the professors, the goal of the semesters, etc. Many factors can make the schedule vary. So you understand that it isn’t the same schedule each year. You can have days of 8 hours and others of 4 hours.
Usually the professors give breaks of 10-15 mins each hour. When you have a 8-hour day, you can have a break of 1-2 hours between each 4-hour session, but also, it depends on many things.
As the administration requires students to be serious and assiduous, to make sure that they all have the best studies experience ever, attendance is mandatory. The professors are in charge of recording attendance. Participation during sessions is most of the time graded.
Please keep in mind that it is a very demanding program. The finality is to train full and complete Big data professionals. Therefore, it entails commitment throughout the academic year. You have to be dedicated in order to ensure that you can pass all the exams.
Since it is a Master of Science, students are almost all the time evaluated through real life projects, whether it is individually or within groups. It gives you a vision of what your professional life will be. This means that sometimes, in order to meet the deadlines, you’ll have to sacrifice some of your weekends. However, if you have a good personal organisation and you don’t wait until the last minute to complete your assignments, you can have your weekends free. So, it is up to you.
We have each year students of all ages. There is no age limit.
Hope I provided you with the answers you expected.
Don’t hesitate to come back to me if you have further inquiries.
Cheers, Marie.
